Water for Life: Empowering Communities Through Clean Water Projects in Uganda
Kyengera Well Project: Bringing Clean Water and Hope to Uganda
Location: Mpigi, Mpigi District, Central Uganda
At the Kyengera Church Home, clean water had long been a precious commodity, with access limited to trucking in water at a great expense. The lack of reliable water sources has posed challenges not only for the home but also for the surrounding community, including the Primary School located on the property. To address this pressing need, we established the Kyengera Well Project, a mission to drill to the water table and provide a sustainable, local water supply.
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, Kyengera now has access to piped running water from the city! This is a monumental achievement that has significantly improve the quality of life for the children, staff, and the entire Kyengera community. Your contribution has made this dream a reality, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support!
Bukasa-Buloba Well Project: Bringing Clean Water and Hope to Uganda
Location: Wakiso District, Central Uganda
The Bukasa-Buloba Church Home was in dire need of a reliable water source to serve its children and community. Marissa’s House Projects proudly funded a fresh water well for this home, a vital resource that provides clean water for drinking, cooking, and sanitation. The $8,000 funding for the project included comprehensive surveys, drilling, and the installation of a borehole (well) on the grounds of the Church Home.
This well now provides an abundant and reliable source of water, dramatically improving the health and living conditions for the children at the Church Home, as well as the surrounding community. Access to clean water is a basic human right, and this well is helping to empower the local people and foster a more sustainable future for everyone involved.
